Emre Kaan AKPINAR
He was born in Istanbul, in 1979. He was admitted to Trombone Department at Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory in 1995 and was the student of Bedri ERGÜDEN. Since 1997, he continued his studies with Baki ONUR. In 1998, he performed the double concerto of A.Vivaldi with the school orchestra. He attended in A workshop with Prof.Monte Mumford and performed in many chamber music concerts between 1997 and 1999. He participated in the International Trombone Festival in Netherlands in 2000 and gave concerts there. In the same year, he also participated in Youth Chamber Competation in Corum with Izmir Trombone Quatret and received the third prize. In 2002, he gave concerts with Halicarnassus Brass in the country. He also performed at the Rhodes Festival. In the same year, he performed with the Brass Instrumental Ensemble of Dokuz Eylul University State Conservatory together with the Karlsruhe Youth Orchestra in the concerts in Germany. He graduated in summer 2002 and performed in various solo, chamber music and orchestral concerts. He has made guest appearances with the Symphony Orchestras of Izmir, Bursa, Antalya, Eski?ehir and Antalya Opera Orchestra. In August 2004, he passed the entrance exam for the Eski?ehir Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra and has been working in this institution as a trombonist.
