Doruk Selen GÜLEÇ

She started to play piano when she was 5 years old. While she was 11 years old, she passed the entrance exams of the State Conservatory of Ankara Hacettepe University and started her viola works with Prof.Koral Calgan. Due to the fact that Calgan was appointed in the following year, she passed to Bediz K?n?kl?’s class and continued her studies and graduated in 2010.

She worked with Prof. Vladimir Bukac in scope of Ayval?k International Music Festival in 2005. She worked with Prof. Siegfried Führlinger to whom workshop she attended in 2006 in the first time in the summers in Austria until 2010, she continued her works in various master classes in Turkey in winters. In scope of Erasmus exchange student programme in 2008-2009 education year,upon the invitation of Führlingerby the agreement special for person realized between Vienna Music and Performing Arts University and Hacettepe University, she became the first student and worked with Führlinger and Johannes Flieder,principal viola of Vienna SymphonyOrchestra.  In the same year, she had the opportunity to work with Prof. Michale Kugel of whom she saw him as idol at the workshop arranged by St. Polten Ost-West Music Festival. After she graduated from the State Conservatory of Ankara Hacettepe University, upon Michale Kuge’s invitation she passed the entrance exams of Hogeschool Gent Conservatory in Belgium and started her master education.  She became the second in the competitions arranged in scope of “The International Summer Music Festival Music at Russian State” in 2012 in Russiaand “International Young Musicians Competition Citta di Barletta”of which was the first music competition she attended in 2011.  She completed her master programme with an exclusive certificate and in the same year she started her second master programme at Maastrich Conservatory of Zuyd University in Holland by a scholarship of “ Zuyd Excellence /Orange Tulip”. She had the opportunity to work with the principal viola Prof. Marc Tooten with “ Zuyd Philarmonic Orchestra”  as well as Michale Kugel.  She graduated with a success from the class of Tooten in 2014.

She was interested in chamber music as well as solo works and worked with the experienced people on chamber music like Prof. Reyyan Yucelen BASARAN, Prof. Kris Deprey, Prof. Patrick Bueckels, Prof. Filip Rathe, Prof. Timur Sergeyenia.

She took part in National Youth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Cem MANSUR in 2008 and Webern Symphony Orchestra founded by the selection of the students in Vienna Music and Performing Arts University in 2009. She performed the principal viola with GMT Orchestra composing of the students of Gent-Maastricht-Tilbur Conservatory in 2011-2012 and took part in the concerts in Germany, Belgium and Holland. She also took part in the concerts with “European Philharmonic Orchestra” in 2013 in Brussels. In the same year, she did internship at “Royal Flemish Philharmonic (deFilharmonie) Orchestra” in 2014-15.

She has continued her proficiency in art works with the Associate Professor B. Bediz K?n?kl? at Hacettepe University Fine Arts Institution since 2015, and she has been a member of symphony Orchestra of Eskisehir Metropolitan Municipality since February 2017.
