Timuçin MERCANOĞLU
He was born in 198, in Izmir. He was admitted to Brass and Percussion Department at Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory in 1998. He was the student of Academician Murat POLGE and graduated in 2005. Throughout his school life, he has appeared in many student orchestral concerts. He also performed with Dokuz Eylül University Symphony Orchestra in various concerts. He has made a guest appearance with the Karlsruhe Youth and Symphony Orchestra in Germany in 2002, and the Izmir State Symphony Orchestra in 2003. In addition, he gave a recital at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory in Venice, Italy in 2003. He also attended the workshop given by Chander Sardjoe in the same year. He participated in a musical called ‘’Toros Canavar?" of Izmir State Theater as a guest performer and also made a guest appearance with the Antalya Symphony Orchestra. In November 2004, he took lessons from Prof.A. Monsieur Louison Renault at Belgium Conservakoine Royal de Bruxelles (Royal Conservatory). He made a guest appearance with the Bursa Symphony Orchestra. In the month of July 2005, he passed the Eski?ehir Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra’s entrance exam and joined the orchestra as a percussionist.
